The service, flown by a French airline  Lignes Aeriennes Latécoère, started 1st. September 1919 from Toulouse to Casablanca via Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Malaga, Tangiers, Larche, and Rabat using Breguet aircraft. Of the four Spanish airports along the route, only Malaga airport retains its original location, and has recently celebrated its 85th. birthday.
